We are a global energy company with a long and robust history in the sector. Our business portfolio includes both upstream and downstream activities. We have been in Brazil for over 100 years, initially selling Texaco products, and since 1997 also focusing on upstream. We currently have interests in 17 oil and gas exploration blocks in deep waters off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul.
In Downstream, Chevron has an Oronite plant for lubricant additives, in Mauá, in São Paulo. We also have a stake in the Iconic Lubrificantes joint venture, where we sell lubricants and industrial greases. We are also present in the fuel retail market through our Texaco brand.
